Proposed sites for a Frisco ISD middle school and high school in Hollyhock

Proposed Future Frisco ISD Middle School and High School in Hollyhock

One of the great things about living in Frisco ISD is their dedication to keeping the schools on the smaller side so that every kid has the opportunity to participate in any extracurricular activities that wish. The smaller schools also help the students develop a real sense of belonging since they aren’t just a number.

Another side effect of having smaller schools is that the schools are close to the communities they serve. Somerset Park has a site for a proposed elementary school that should open in 2021 or 2022 depending on the growth in the area and how enrollment trends keep up. In addition to this, a proposed middles school and high school will be in the neighboring Hollyhock subdivision.

The Frisco Planning and Zoning Commission approved zoning changes to allow for the site that will be the proposed high school. This site is just south of where the proposed middle school would be. This will be high school #12 for Frisco ISD. The change will also reduce the size of Hollyhock from their original plans.

Once all the schools get built out, it will mean that the kids will be in walking distance of all their schools and will be a great feeder pattern from elementary school through high school. It will also mean that if your kids have friends in the neighborhood, they will probably be able to stay together through their school years.
