Right next door to Somerset Park on the southeast corner of FM 423 and US 380, will be the Frisco Crossing shopping center. It will be anchored by Wal-Mart which should open within the next couple of years. The shopping center will also feature an Academy Sports and Outdoors along with some popular eating establishments.
Some of these food places include Chipotle, Jason’s Deli, and IHOP. In addition to these food places, Starbucks will also be included. Now it will be easy to walk straight from the neighborhood to get your favorite coffee. There will also be a 7-Eleven at the corner to get an ICEE or a quick fill-up on gas.
There are still some available leasing opportunities so there should be more goodies coming. Updates will be made available as more information comes in.
Driving past this area today I noticed they started breaking ground and moving dirt. So it looks as if development has officially begun. There is more activity closer to where the Academy is going to be, but I didn’t see any dirt moved where Wal-Mart is planned. The area is marked off though, so it may just be a matter of time.
